Facility Site Plan
The Imperial Centre for the Arts & Sciences campus covers approximately 7.1 acres of land at the northern entrance to downtown Rocky Mount. As shown in the aerial photograph below, the facility is composed of three main structures. The main building (A), site of the former Imperial Tobacco Co., houses the Imperial Centre lobby, atrium, reception desk, restaurant, and Arts Center galleries in the west wing, and the Children's Museum & Science Center in the east wing. The performing arts Theatre (B) is attached to the main structure by an enclosed glass walkway. The Arts Education building (C), site of the old Braswell Library, contains classrooms, studios, meeting rooms, and theatre.
