ARTS IMMERSION

The Arts Center invites you to spend an evening in the Arts!

Arts Immersion is a new and exciting program that is perfect for your young adult or adult group. Supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Arts Immersion introduces you to the wide variety of creative opportunities that lie within each of us, broght to life in the galleries, theatre and studios of the Maria V. Howard Arts Center. Experience our galleries through a docent-led gallery tour, get your hands dirty in our clay or paint studios, and steal a few seconds in the spotlight on the stage. Arts Immersion gives you safe, guided opportunities to stretch your creative muscles.

Bring your women’s club, book club, neighbors, church group, coworkers or griens to the Arts Center—the program is free of charge with your reservation. While visits can be tailor made to accommodate your group’s schedule, we recommend two hours to experience the full program.

To schedule an Arts Immersion Experience, please call Jennifer Rankin at 252-972-1632 or email at jennifer.rankin@rockymountnc.gov.

The Arts Immersion program is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

MARK PROGRAM

The Rocky Mount Arts Center is pleased to provide a new opportunity for students to explore, experience and practice art!

The MARK Program (Making Art Real for Kids) is a great opportunity for students to explore the Galleries at the Imperial Centre, speak with an art professional, and flex their creative muscles with a staff-led, hands-on project which underlines and supports the day's thematic focus. Thanks to generous support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rocky Mount Arts Center is pleased to offer this program free of charge to student groups-we even have a transportation fund to help offset the cost of your visit to the Imperial Centre! Visits can be designed to accommodate your schedule; we recommend a minimum of two hours to experience the full program.

If visiting the Galleries during the day is not an option for your school, consider scheduling a special "School Night" with us. We will work with you to identify an exclusive, after hour time for students and parents from your school to make a visit to the Galleries and to speak to the art professionals on our staff. Activities can be made available as well.

To be a part of the MARK program, simply schedule your visit to the Galleries at the Imperial Centre or identify an exclusive visitation time for your school. Call our Education Specialist at 972-1632 for information and to make your plans!

The MARK Program is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts
